Welcome to the 2015 Spring Season! On behalf of the Youth Board of Directors, I’d like to thank you for registering with us. Please find information below related to each age group.
For 2015, our Youth Teams will be playing in the Northwest Chicago Youth Lacrosse Federation (http://nwcylf.com/) league. Games for U11, U13, U15 are scheduled to begin on Sunday, April 12th (U9 will start on April 26) and continue weekly on Sundays throughout the season. We will end our season with the Crossroads Cup Tournament on Sat/Sun, June 6 and 7. The Crossroads Cup will be hosted by Warren Lacrosse Club. As a reminder, there will be games on Memorial Day Weekend.
UNIFORM PICKUP - Mandatory Parent’s Night – Meet the Coaching Staff
This year we will be hosting a mandatory “Open House” style Parent’s night to submit the required forms and pick-up uniforms. The Parent’s Night will be Tuesday, March 31st open from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the LZ High School Cafeteria. At this event the LZ Lacrosse Club will be collecting the required 2015 forms (see below). You will need to bring items 1-3 below to obtain your uniform and participate in practice. The LZ Lacrosse Club will be selling spirit wear and taking orders for the end of season Crossroad T-shirt (so, please bring your checkbooks). Also, for parents/players new to Lacrosse, Club leadership will be on hand at a booth to go over rules and the sport of lacrosse, the ins and outs of a typical season, along with a Q&A session.

A Copy of the players Birth Certificate to Hand-In (no originals, please)

LZ Lacrosse Club Roster:
Boys U9: We will roster One (1) U9 level team. Practices for U9 are planned to start in early April. Additional information will be sent out by Coach Skallerup and Katzenberger.
Boys U11: We will roster One (1) U11 level team with Coach Bell and Jessogone. Practice will be on Tuesday and Thursday’s from 5:30 – 7:30 PM (or until Dusk). Additional information including start date will be send out by your Team Manager, Kelly McHugh (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Boys U13: We have roster Two (2) U13 level teams. Evaluations were conducted March 6th. Practice will be on Wednesday and Thursdays. Additional information including start date will be sent out by the coaches. o U13A: Coached by Quast, McCall, Vagas and Shahwan

Boys U15: We have formed one - U15 level team with Coaches Vozas, McCall, Dillion and Graunke. Additional information including start date will be sent out by the coaches.
Girls Lacrosse: Will practice on Mon/Wed at Community Park, Hawthorne Woods from 6:00 – 7:30PM (or Dusk). Additional information including start dates for all levels will be sent out by the coaches.

All players, other than incoming Freshmen or new players, should have their practice pinnies that were assigned last year. If you have lost yours, it is your responsibility to contact Melon Ink to order a new one and cover the cost.
Boys that played Frosh in the 2014 spring season can contact Andrew at Melon Ink for their pinnie number.
Boys that played JV or Varsity will use the number from their uniform from the 2014 season.
All new Girls will be issued new pinnies in the 2015 season.
2015 Youth Boys Spring Registration - Team Evaluations

Welcome to Youth Boys 2015 Spring Lacrosse in Lake Zurich! Participation is age based (following US Lacrosse age divisions) and is open to all youth boys not in high school. This program will focus on individual skill development, team concepts, game situation drills, and learning the rules of the game for players of all skill levels (beginners to experienced).
Practices will be held at various locations in the Lake Zurich area and home games will generally be played at Lake Zurich High School or Knox Park. Player evaluations and team selection begins with indoor sessions in early March. As soon as weather permits, we will begin practicing outdoors with two practices per week until league games start.
Games are played on Sunday afternoons starting in April. The U9 team will play approximately 3 home games and 3 away games in addition to a season-ending league wide tournament. The U11-U15 team will play approximately 4 home games and 4 away games in addition to a season-ending league wide tournament. Equipment rentals will be available for the season. In your registration, please note if rental equipment is required. A team member will contact you with the location and cost of the rental equipment.

Practices and Home games will be held at Hawthorn Woods Community Park in the Lake Zurich area. Purple Player evaluations will be done by IGLA. Visit iglax.org for Purple Player Evaluations Locations. We will begin practicing April 12th with two practices per week until league games start.
Games are played on Sunday afternoons starting in April. The Pink teams will play approximately 7 games in addition to a season-ending league wide tournament. The Purple team will play approximately 7 games with an optional Tournament (May 5th)) in addition to a season-ending league wide tournament.

We will have a 'credit process' in place by March with details- We will role out the WEEKLY TASKS to everyone at PLEDGE CARD signing night MARCH 12...please make arrangements to have ONE parent attending.
LZLC is a CLUB sport (still) at LZHS and we are SELF FUNDED.
We are requiring that every family step up and donate a few hours of their time to keep our fees at a reasonable level. New for 2015- This year we are instituting a new policy regarding volunteering. Every family will front a Volunteer Fee of $150 which will be returned (by refund check) IF YOU HAVE COMPLETED YOUR VOLUNTEER HOURS when uniforms are collected at the season end Awards Banquet. You will be responsible for making sure that your family's volunteer hours get reported to the Volunteer Coordinator BY MAY 31st.
If you have more than one athlete playing lacrosse this year, please go through the registration process and at the payment screen exit out and immediately send an email to Bess Beyer (

) letting them know the names and grades of your players. They will make the appropriate adjustment and send your new balance

Players from as far back as 2006 (Jeff Peterson) to 2017 (Nathan Bass & Ryan Beaupre) participated in our annual Alumni/Varsity Game. Thanks Coach Burke for making this happen (and both you and Coach Holden for playing like the boss that you know you are). And lastly, thanks to James Coleman for representing the reeeeealllly old crowd (the parents)!
